Based on your statement of philosophy that you wrote in your first semester, examine what changes have occurred since you began the Master’s program, based on 3 artifacts that influenced the evolution of your current Statement of Philosophy. Include what you wish to improve on, as well as those that you believe you can continue to enhance.
Write a 2-page essay that addresses the following: • What is the relevance of your philosophy to your specialty in the MS Program? What was your philosophy of nursing when you started the program and how does this compare to your current philosophy of nursing? • What is the essence of the role of the MS-prepared nurse in the ongoing development of nursing and in meeting society’s needs for quality health care? • How do you envision integrating being a leader and change agent in the evolving future of nursing education or nursing practice? What strategies will you use to contribute to the future of nursing?
The essay has to include that – example – (this artifact has helped me achieve this goal (one of the 3 points above)
Personal Philosophy – My personal philosophy emphasizes on the importance of moral upbringing related to honesty, kindness, generosity, respect, & integrity; on how I can apply these key terms into the field of nursing and help my patients overcome chronic diseases. Once I decided to become a nurse, I knew I would be successful due to my strong desire to help others in need. I hope to advance my career as an nurse practitioner and specialize in areas of medical in orthopedics, pain management, & rheumatology.

The essay cites at least three excellent and diverse artifacts that influenced the improvement and development of the student’s Statement of Philosophy from the beginning of the program and towards degree completion. It also includes the relevance of the student’s statement with goals of the M.S. degree program, as well as one’s role in the ongoing development of nursing and the delivery of safe, quality care. A well-written reflective narrative no longer than two (2) pages, doublespaced, 1” margin on all sides, is included documenting how these assignments helped the student meet this Statement of Philosophy
