Provide a critical analysis of Kettering University’s mission, vision, and values statements, the University Policy Syllabus, the Code of Ethics of Kettering University, and the other Academic and Integrity Policies of Kettering University (all available on this course’s Blackboard site). Your essay (4-5 full typed pages) must present a clear thesis, use specific and persuasive evidence in support of that thesis, and explain how your argument as a whole relates to one or more of the concepts or principles of the seminar. Be sure to define all of your terms carefully. Make direct use of relevant seminar materials where appropriate. In particular, for this assignment your essay must integrate at least one of the other seminar sources we have discussed beyond those identified above. Do not use any outside materials or resources of any kind. A simple summary or a description of the topic based on matters other than critical thinking and reasoning will not be acceptable. Your critical essay must communicate effectively within the context of the seminar and use appropriate citations as necessary. Since this assignment requires no outside research, a “Works Cited” page or bibliography is not necessary. Essays will receive letter grades in accordance with the established standards of the Kettering University grade scale as described in the Undergraduate Catalog.
