Students are responsible for submitting an Applied Project based on an administration/ management issue relevant to your current (or former) workplace and/or profession. It should be an examination of an issue that is relevant to operational practice and performance that has a potential solution. From that perspective, your paper should be prepared as if it were an internal consulting report to be presented to your organization’s decision makers. The paper should include the following: Introduction, Statement of Issue, Related Research, Possible Alternatives/Solutions, and Recommendation(s). This may NOT be a paper that has been used in whole, or part, for another university course. TurnItIn will be used. This project should include components learned in every ADM course the student took in the program, i.e., “…in my Labor Relations course we studied the importance of negotiation, arbitration and mediation in negotiations. One potential solution to this situation would be to involve a mediator…” (Note: the information in the paper will be held confidential but you may want to change the name of the organization, individuals, etc.). The length should be a minimum of 1,000 words, double-spaced, 12 pt. font, in APA style, with at least five scholarly references from related, published research. Students are also required to submit an Assignment Cover Sheet (see Appendix).
