Pick a news media article from any source (CBC; The National Post; Globe and Mail; Vice) that has reported some statistical finding;  (Canadian Article) Summarize the article (what is the gist of the article) and describe the findings they report (e.g., “This article includes statistics about the rate of snowmobile related deaths in Ontario. They found snowmobile accidents happen most often the day after a large snowstorm. More snowmobile deaths occur in Southern Ontario compared to Northern Ontario”). Include a brief commentary on what you thought about the article: Were the findings easy to understand? Did the headline match the findings? Did you think it was responsible reporting? You must submit a PDF of the news article AND a separate Word/PDF document of your summary.
