Paper details This is a premed program essay the paper should include my volunteer work and how it has helped me gain knowledge in a clinical setting in related to medical practices and patient encounters. It should also talk about my passion for the field of medicine and how dedicated I am to become a physician. My disadvantages would be the limited resources and funds I had while preparing for my MCT using test prep booklets. I had no premed advisor while in college and was a fulltime student and working full time while studying. research and has been a major factor in my ability to learn about effective practices in the health care system. While working at a research lab on various projects such as the cocaine vaccine and BSO1, I was able to study the methods of analysis and testing from my colleagues that would later help me to perform my own testing. Once all data was collected, we went through each procedure and evaluated the effectiveness and progress of our work as a team. Over the years I have had the pleasure of working alongside physicians and doctors who have helped to strengthen my leadership, communication, teaching, and patient encounters skills. In a clinical setting it is imperative that I consider the physical and or emotional trauma a patients condition has on them. Not only will my work as a physician to advise and treat patients, it is to also in return make them feel safe. Once I have mastered a specific content area, I perform my due diligence and share the knowledge I have been given through teaching. volunteer work/ shadowing New York Presbyterian queens and Manhattan, Jamaica Hospital, I am a member of the mentoring in medicine program where they specialize in Emergency department clinical exposure program shadowing and working in the emergency room, Teaching fellows program teaching students, of an elementary to high school level, important biological processes and systems of the human body, and Premedical advisory.
