Discussion 2: Genetic Disease Occurrence

Step 1 Address the following questions in your post:

• List two genetic disorders resulting from autosomal dominant disorders.
• Are either of these disorders more prevalent in males versus females?

Step 2 In your response to your peers, you might offer answers to the following questions in your response to the genetic disorders identified in the selected post.

• What role would genetic screening play in determining the occurrence and prevalence of one of the identified genetic disorders cited in the post you are responding to?
• Is it possible to predict the transmission of an autosomal dominant disorder? If so, how is this done?
