In recent times there have been so many claims in the media and in academia that science is under attack. Is this claim a mischaracterization of the actual problem in the era of fake news and post-truth on one hand or the numerous questionable research practices on the other?
Moreover, good scientists’ eternal collision with some governments and policy makers is well-known. But is science really under attack or the masses are becoming more cautious with some scientists’ relationship with power, profits and politics (not science itself)?
