To answer the question use quotes from the chapter on Bureaucracy in From Max Weber. 4b. Relate your answer in 4a to an article from the Wall Street Journal or The New York Times on bureaucracy and the Coronavirus response. The article must be published after June 1, 2020. 6.There are many contributions that Emile Durkheim made to Sociology. He insisted that sociology must study the causes and functions of social facts. A. Define “social fact” Use both an appropriate quote (properly cited directly from The Rules of Sociological Method) Durkheim’s words can be found on pages 31-163 and your own analysis. B. The conclusion of Durkheim’s Rules of Sociological Method is Durkheim’s statement about the future value of well done sociological research and the values that underly all science. This is the era of fake news and junk science. Find an article, or collection of articles from the NYT, WSJ, or news source, (if you are not sure check with me before you write) on the issue of good facts or data.
